This is one of the nine structures of the rejuvenated Lincoln Hall, dedicated on October 12, 1939. The Christian Brothers began conducting the New York Catholic Protectory in the Bronx in the 1860s, but widened its outreach with a branch (Lincoln Agricultural School in Westchester County) in 1907. In the late 1930s, the archdiocese improved the latter property by constructing six dormitory cottages for the boys, a Brothers’ residence, and vocational training buildings, and by remodeling the original building.

I was in the falahee cottage back in 1972. I learned so much there in my youth. Brother Lawrence was our cottage brother. i forget the prefects names. i remember one year our cottage got to camp at lake george, n.y. and it was there that i learned to water ski. I wish i can find photos from back then. i remember when they built the movie theater, we planted a time capsule at one of the cornerstones. don’t know when they plan to dig it up. loved horseback riding at the derry cottage. i believe all the brothers retired to a retreat in new jersey. look up De La Salle Christian Brothers Archives.
