On May 15, 1964, Br. Giovannino (director of the Lasallian school in Milan known as Istituto Gonzaga) presented Pope Paul VI with a bound, artistic image of the Madonna. Br. Giovannino headed a group of 90 pilgrims from Milan who had come to Rome to visit the Brothers’ motherhouse and then to have this papal audience.
