So they went in haste…

“Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing  that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.

So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger…the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.”

Luke 2:15-20

My name is Roene and I’ve been going to Del for 3 years. I am part of the De la Salle Cadet cadet core and my favourite hobbies are knitting and art. When coming up with my idea for the card I noticed that many of the previous entries were very serious despite the lighthearted tone of the Christmas season. I wanted to make a card that went with this year’s theme but also wanted to make something more lighthearted that fit with the Christmas season. I also consider comics and cartoons to be my strong suit and wanted to showcase that.

I moved to Del in grade 7 and was immediately accepted into its wonderful community. Although adjustments were tough at first, Del helped me catch up with the rest of the curriculum. It has a diverse set of programs and extracurricular activities that help students find their own passions and hobbies as well as a curriculum that pushes students to reach their full potential. Del has taught me how to be a great leader and manage my time well, and I can safely say that all of the other students and alumni from Del have learned something from it.
