Toronto, Canada – As we begin a new liturgical year eight of our Brothers in Canada have begun living in their new home. The address, which is in our District Directory, is 61 Fairfax Crescent, Toronto, ON M1L 1Z7. That might seem familiar since Presentation Manor, their new residence, is on the site of the former La Salle Manor. Presentation Manor, a collaborative venture of twenty-one religious congregations from across Canada, opened its doors last month.
Six of our Brothers have independent living in one-bedroom apartments in a section of the fourth floor of the structure. Two Brothers benefit from assisted living accommodations in another section of the building. Brother Francis McCrea, Director of the Brothers’ community, reports that everyone is settling in. Mass is celebrated daily and the food is very good. Blessings to our Canadian confreres in their new environment in a familiar neighborhood!
