Bartley J. “BJ” Costello, III brings a rich experience of leadership within church sponsored and other non-profit organizations to his role as Board Member at La Salle School in Albany, New York. B.J.’s personal commitment to serve others is more than evident by his continued involment not only with La Salle, but with the United Way of New York State, The Next Step, Inc., an addiction recovery home for women, and the Holy Cross Club of Northeastern New York, just to name a few. B.J. has also served as President of Catholic Charitites of the Albany Diocese, and is a past member of the Public Policy Council of the New York State Catholic Conference as appointee of John Cardinal O’Connor.
During his time as Board Chair for La Salle School, it is the virtues that we call Lasallian, and that B.J. has always lived by, that were the criteria which helped him shape policy and strategic actions. Being a member of a Christian Brothers organization has merely allowed us to give a name to the values so inherint in him
B.J. has and always contiues to embody what it means to be Lasallian, and with Board Members like him serving throughout the District, the mission is indeed shared, and in very capable hands.
