Eatontown, NJ – The Provincial Delegate for Board Governance is appointed by the Visitor of the District and serves as a member of the Ministry Corporation. He provides the leadership for the DENA Association of Board Chairs and Presidents/Principals and serves as the Liaison between the District Member Representatives to each Ministry Board and the Ministry Corporation.
Appointed on July 1, 2022, Ben Ventresca provides support, assistance, and experiential expertise to the Ministry Boards to ensure the best practices of the Board as well as the Lasallian Catholic identity of the Ministries. He works with the Board Chairs and Chief Administrators to troubleshoot any problem situations which arise within the work of the Board. He serves as the District Member Representative to certain Ministry Boards as assigned by the Visitor, and serves on committees to identify and select new Board Chairs and Chief Administrators as requested by the ministry boards or the Visitor.
With over 30 years of cumulative service and leadership on three governing boards within the District of Eastern North America, as well as over 40 years of organization development and leadership consulting to chief executives and boards of nonprofit organizations and Global Fortune 100 corporations, Ben Ventresca brings a broad base of Lasallian formation and business experience to his role in working with Chief Administrators and Board Chairs. During his Lasallian board trusteeship, Ben chaired Advancement, Executive, Finance, and Strategic Planning Committees as well as serving as Chair and Co-Chair for two Capital Campaigns. Following his 10-years of service as Vice-Chair and Chair of La Salle College High School’s Board of Trustees, he was elected as Chair Emeritus and then Lifetime Trustee.
Ben has been honored to serve on the DENA Mission Council since 2014 and to serve on committees tasked with the planning/execution of the 2015 Mission Assembly and the development of the Vision 2020 Strategic Plan. He currently serves as the Member Representative on six DENA Ministry Boards.
