De La Salle Day at Bethlehem University:  A Renewed Oath for the Future

Bethlehem University held its 17th annual celebration of De La Salle Day, held every May 15 on the Feast of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the patron saint of teachers and the founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Celebrations of the day include annual recognition and thanks to the faculty and staff of Bethlehem University.

In his opening speech, Brother Peter Bray, Vice Chancellor, said, “on the De La Salle day we recognize the faculty and staff of Bethlehem University, who have provided their service to the students here in Bethlehem University,” as they are following the will of St. John Baptist De La Salle.

A Mass prayer at the Chapel of the Divine Child was led by His Excellency Most Reverend Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto, Chancellor of Bethlehem University, and Father Peter DuBrul.

During the Mass, the De La Salle Christian Brothers at Bethlehem University publicly renewed their oath to fulfill the mission of St. John Baptist De La Salle, as demonstrated through their service at Bethlehem University.
