Brother Cyril Litecky, FSC
1926-2015
Brother Cyril Litecky, age 88 and a member of the Midwest District, died on Saturday, April 4, 2015 in the Holy Land. Born on October 23, 1926 he entered the novitiate of the Brothers in Glencoe, MO, in 1950 and professed his final vows in 1955. During his years as an educator he ministered in Brothers’ schools in Illinois and Wisconsin. In addition, Brother Cyril served as Assistant Provincial and Provincial of the Winona Province of the Christian Brothers. From 1984 to 1989 he was Academic Vice President at Bethlehem University in the Holy Land. He returned to Bethlehem University in 1991 where he served as Financial Vice President from 1991 to 1995 and then as Assistant to the Vice Chancellor until recent years. Brother Cyril ministered with a number of DENA Brothers during his many years at Bethlehem University.
