Miami, FL – Congratulations to Doctor Brother Don Alger, seen here receiving his doctoral hood from his research committee chairperson and program director (Dr. Nam Ju Kim, right) and Assessment and Program Evaluation professor (Dr. Ji Shen) at the University of Miami, May 13, 2021.
Congrats, Dr. Alger
Thank you, Brother! “Dr. Alger” sure has a nice ring to it. Thank you for your well wishes.
Don:
Congratulations on this achievement of your studies.
Br. Eric Henderson
Thank you, Brother Eric. The work towards the degree felt as though it would never end. There is some truth to this, however, because I would like to continue doing research in Learning Sciences, a growing complement to (what we know as) “Education.”
Wishing you and the community a happy and reenergizing summer.
Don A.
Kudos and blessings. Don! Rob

Thank you, Brother-Neighbor! I owe you quite a bit for the ways you supported and inspired the persistence one needed to complete one.
Congratulations, Don! I am proud and excited for your achievement. We will all benefit from your expertise!
Thank you, Br. Timothy. I have been invited to consider being a post-doc researcher who would work with a PI to undertake ongoing Learning Science research and some teaching. I don’t know yet how to propose to District leadership that my interest lies in finding ways to complement what we know as Lasallian pedagogy with Learning Sciences and, in the process, advance into this century what Lasaalian pedagogy could mean.
Thank you for your well wishes, Brother.
Congratulations! We’re proud of you.
Thank you, Ben. Thank you, Anselm Hall, for bearing up with the frequent isolation that a very solitary pursuit required. The community’s forbearance is no small affordance and gift.
Don, Congratulations on a great achievement. I remember when a doctorate was only a tentative thought, and I am happy and glad that it has become a reality. Your persistance as well as your intellectual achievement is admirable. Don’t count yourself short!
Joe — I, too, remember that tentative thought. You said to me, “well, you’ll be 61 years old anyway, with or without a doctorate.” That statement was my kick in the where-it-matters. I remind myself of it often, so I am thanking you belatedly for the power of your sage advice. Thank YOU.
Congratulations! You worked with utmost diligence to this end. I appreciate your commitment to academic excellence and rigor. Stay strong and be of good courage. Stay strong and be of good courage.
Thank you, Brother. You always find the words to uplift. Kudos to you and to your work on behalf of La Salle U.
Congrats, Don!
Thank you, Anthony! Are you summering at Anselm Hall this year?
Outstanding. Hard work pays off1
Thank you, Brother. Hard work does pay off. The consolations and desolations are innumerable. In this way, working through several semesters parallels life made more difficult by the protracted pandemic. Thank you, Joe.
Heart felt Congratulations even if a year late. This is Irma Perez from St Anthony’s Singles for Christ Chorus
