I am so sorry. Gabe was a wonderful friend and I will miss him.
Thank you Gabe!
Brother Gabe was a fine teacher and mentor. I knew Brother Gabe from my time as an English Major at La Salle University. My favorite class he taught was Rites of Passage. I will miss him.
Gabe and I were classmates in Barrytown and Catholic University. He abhorred sports but enjoyed verbal jousts. We spent many an hour discussing and poking and I never met a wittier person, After formation we met a number of times in Minneapolis when he taught in
winona and I was at the U of Minnesota. Always enjoyed talking to him and I admired his love of his students and his enthusiasm for his area of expertise. I’ll miss you Dick

My first professor in my first college course 35 years ago. He was a kind and thoughtful person. Though we never kept in contact, I distinctly remember being invited to the Brother’s residence on occasion by Bro. Gabe for a good meal. As a college student, I really enjoyed that. God bless.
