Pittsburgh, PA – On Sunday Sept. 24, 2017, Brother Mark Lowery, FSC, received the “Manifesting the Kingdom Award” from the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The “Manifesting the Kingdom Award” is given by the Diocesan Bishop to laymen and laywomen and to consecrated women and men who demonstrate the presence of Jesus in their lives and have participated in an exceptional service to the Church reflected in so many different ways in the lives, ministry and work of those who receive it.

Brother Mark has worked tirelessly in the Diocese of Pittsburgh as a teacher of history, Development Director, and as a counselor at both Pittsburgh Central Catholic and Michael’s Place which is a recovery facility for persons who have just been released from incarceration.
