Providence, RI – Brother Michael Reis was honored by the Providence Police Department on October 2nd 2019. He was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by this public service department in Providence. More than a hundred community representatives of social service agencies in the Providence area were in attendance, as well as, Mayor Elorza and Commissioner of Public Safety, Steven Paré . The chief of police, Colonel Hugh Clements Jr, pointed out all of the ways in which Tides Family Services, under Brother Michael’s direction, have assisted in keeping the city safe over many, many years. Tides Family Services CEO, Beth Bixby, was also recognized with a Community Partner Appreciation Award at the Ceremony. Friends of both Brother Michael and Beth Bixby were in attendance and all enjoyed refreshments offered by the police department after the event.
