Lincroft, NJ – The CBA Lincroft community is hosting Brother Saúl Elvert this month. Our visiting confrere, a member of the Antilles-South Mexico District, is a native Haitian who is in the States to improve his skills in English. It is his fourth language! (He is already proficient in Haitian Creole, French, and Spanish.)
Saúl is enrolled in language classes in nearby Red Bank, NJ two hours a day. Back in the community he has opportunities to practice and to receive encouragement from the Brothers. In one of the accompanying photos Brother John McMahon is seen sending Saúl off to class. The other picture shows Saúl with Brother James Furlong. Jim, whose regular ministry involves teaching English to Haitians in Asbury Park, NJ, has introduced Saúl to his students.
