Rome, Italy – Brother Robert Schieler, Superior General, has appointed Brother Ernest Miller, FSC, to the Preparatory Commission to study and organize the preparation of the 46th General Chapter.
“The [General] Councilors and I have carefully considered your qualifications for this important task and we believe that you will make a significant contribution to the work of the Commission,” wrote Br. Robert in a letter inviting Br. Ernest to the Preparatory Commission.
Along with the work necessary to prepare, Br. Ernest will visit the Generalate five times leading up to the General Chapter, taking place in May of 2021.
“The Brothers Councilor and I are entrusting you with participation in one of the Institute’s most important commissions,” wrote Schieler. “We are counting on you, Ernest, and we are confident that you will generously and enthusiastically accept this appointment.”
Brother Ernest has been a Brother for more than 25 years, and is Vice President for Mission at La Salle University.
