Donation will bolster the College’s endowment and professional development funds
08/10/12 – Riverdale, NY The Brothers of the Christian Schools, District of Eastern North America (DENA) will donate $789,554.30 to Manhattan College, located in Riverdale, New York. The Christian Brother sponsored institution of higher education recently sold two residential properties on the campus’ neighboring Tibbett Avenue. The Brothers’ District administration has decided to donate half of the proceeds to Manhattan College, which will be split among the school’s Christian Brothers Endowment Trust, which provides financial aid to students, and the Brother Thomas Scanlan Fund for Lasallian Heritage, which helps to sponsor professional development and formation programs for faculty and staff at the College.
