students (below) attended the March for Life.
1/23/12 – Washington, DC – Eleven Calvert Hall students, Daniel Binette, Paul Cillo, Dan DiPeppe, Liam Duggins, Nick Fleming, Denny Grace, Ryan Keenan, Alexander Kulik, Scott Lombardo, Haden Nugent & Jasper Pingul and Brother Joseph Kines, FSC ’62 (Finance Department) and Ms. Katlyn Patterson (Science & Religion Departments) were among the thousands who traveled to Washington, DC on January 23, 2012 to attend the annual March for Life. Calvert Hall’s group is active with the Respect Life Initiative, a new club at school.
La Salle Academy’s Beth Deacutis (Religion Department), Mary Misiaszek (Math Deptartment) and husband, Gary, and Leslie Martinelli (Science Department) and husband, David, chaperoned 17 of the Rhode Island students to the march. The group took the red-eye train on Sunday night at 10pm (Jan.22), to reach Washington, DC by 7am the next morning.
The rally was the culmination of three days of events marking the 39th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion.
