07/10/12 – Dewitt, NY For the first time ever, members of the varsity softball team at Christian Brothers Academy are Section III champions. Led by coach Greg Jewett, the team defeated Altmar-Parish-Williamstown, 9-3 on June 2nd. A primarily young team, CBA relied on the likes of seniors Molly O’Brien, Kelly Bewley, and Claire Gollegly to secure the title win. Team asset Jordan Sheridan’13 locked down the game, allowing only nine hits and struck out eight. “The Lady Brothers,” as commonly referred to around the halls of CBA, had a great season, finishing 14-7.
