Dewitt, NY – Christian Brothers Academy eighth graders Lizzie Lucas, Katie Purcell, Katie Weissenberg and Shivam Nansavati will represent the school in the next round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee on Saturday, Jan. 16 at Onondaga Community College.
The four students advance, after winning CBA’s annual Spelling Bee for seventh and eighth graders held on Dec. 9.
The students will compete in the written Regional Competition on Jan. 16. Winners will then advance to the oral Regional Competition, which will be held on Feb. 6 at WCNY Studios.
