Dewitt, NY – Within the halls of the school, and out and about in the community, Christian Brothers Academy students have certainly been in the holiday spirit.

As part of this year’s Advent project, students in Peer Ministry delivered gifts and gift cards collected in homerooms to St. Vincent De Paul Day Care Center, the Northeast Community Center and Helping Hounds. The children were thrilled to see Santa (David Gross) who made a surprise visit at St.Vincent De Paul. In addition, the National Honor Society conducted its own food and non-perishable items drive to benefit the Northeast Community Center. Students in every homeroom at CBA, faculty and staff participated in this annual gift giving Advent Project and the National Honor Society initiative.

The student body, faculty and staff dressed in their favorite holiday sweaters, wore Santa caps and reindeer antlers on Wednesday to school. The junior and senior high chorus and bands, the jazz band and orchestra treated everyone to some holiday music at an assembly in the morning. Santa Claus (Jack Carpenter) also made an appearance, as senior Alison Croucher recited the kneeling Santa prayer.
