Dewitt, NY – The New York State Education Department sponsored an event in recognition of the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Fifteen Christian Brothers Academy students voluntarily submitted their persuasive essays about the importance of celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy and principles all year to the student work exhibition in Albany.

In order to write a persuasive research essay, the students read Dr. King’s “Six Principles of Nonviolence” along with other works by Dr. King to support their claims about honoring him. Their essays were on display at the Empire State Plaza South Concourse in Albany Jan. 4 -Feb. 28
