072715 Tyler Hamblin and Brother Joseph JozwiakDewitt- Christian Brothers Academy graduate Tyler Hamblin ’11, who received his degree in sociology from Harvard University in May, recently donated his 2011 Ivy League Football Championship ring to the school.

Hamblin played tight end for the Crimson and won three Ivy League Championships during his four-year playing career. Hamblin was named a First Team All-League this past season. He finished the season with 11 catches for 176 yards and a TD.

Hamblin is a Teach For America Corps Member in Baltimore, MD and is studying for his masters in education degree at Johns Hopkins University.

072715 Ivy League Championship Ring“Donating the ring is just a small gesture of thanks to the people at CBA who have helped me have the opportunity to graduate from Harvard, play football and win these awards,” Hamblin shared.

A four-year letterwinner and a two-year starter at CBA, Hamblin threw for 3,200 yards and 30 touchdowns with 15 rushing touchdowns in his career. He had a 15-5 record as the starting quarterback, which included two straight appearances in state championship games. He was named to the 2010 Class AA-1All League first team and received the 2011 National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award.
