Five Robotics teams, under the direction of Mrs. Renie Brown and Mr. Steve Borror, competed in the Northwest Maryland VEX Robotics Competition at the Carroll County Agricultural Center on October 26th. All five made it to the final bracket of eight alliances. Junior Chris Iler and seniors Danny Kumpf and Nathan Wyand earned the Excellence Award, the highest award presented in a VEX Competition, and the Driver Skills Challenge Award. Freshmen Casey Borror, Jake Cassell, Nick Nemphos and Nick Townsley earned the Design Award. Both teams have been invited to compete in the Maryland State Robotics Championships in March 2014.
