Young men continue to explore the Brothers’ vocation
1/3-6/12 – Philadelphia, PA- Jeremy House, once again, hosted the retreat that is held every Janu-ary for men who discern the Brothers’ life through the Contact Program.
This year, four contacts from the District of Eastern North America, Kevin Richards, Malik Neal, Chris Sullivan and Ciro Sevarino were joined by five contacts from the Midwest District. Brothers James Dries and Leonard Rhoades organized the program around the theme “The Lasallian Tradition of Prayer.”
Presenters included Brother John Crawford from La Salle University who shared of his extensive knowledge of the Founder, and Brother James Leahy from De La Salle Hall in Lincroft who reflected upon the changing prayer structures and prayer life in community. Brother Ralph Bucci from La Salle University shared his own prayer story while Brother Leonard Rhoades and Mr. Marc Parisi, the Campus Minister at Calvert Hall, described the tradition of prayer in the schools both in the early Institute and today. Brothers James Dries and Peter Killeen gave a workshop on different prayer forms.
