Freeport, NY – Students from The De La Salle School, in Freeport, on Long Island sent letters of hope to coronavirus patients. When Mrs. Jeanmarie Becker, the school’s Principal, asked the De La Salle students to write letters in their own words to patients and staff at Mount Sinai South Nassau, a hospital very close to the school, the Miguel Men sprang into action. For some students, writing letters was a form of relief. For others, it was a way to combat a situation that had hit very close to home.
