Sr. School News: The start of a new school year is one filled with different emotions – of course, from the student’s perspective, some sadness as summer vacation has come to an end and some happiness as they re-connect with friends. Moreover, our returning students will have the occasion to meet our new students.
Jr. School News: We have had a very successful start to the year as September has been very busy. We have established before and after school routines that are working safely and smoothly. The Kiss and Ride system is working well because of the staff who monitor it but also because of the support of the parents.
Parents’ Association News: The De La Salle Parents’ Association works with the administration to enhance the educational experience and environment for our children. This is achieved through the wonderful partnerships of the parent community.
Athletics: The Del Athletic Program is off and running. We have an exciting fall season ahead of us, highlighted by our Sr. Girls Field Hockey team who are primed to defend their championship. We will also be cheering on our Sr. Boys Soccer team, as we are fielding the strongest team we have had in years and have a legitimate shot at qualifying for OFSAA.
Alumni Profile: Marina Priolo ’07 – If you look in the 2006-2007 yearbook you will see that Marina was voted most likely to become a nun. Well, a missionary is pretty close! This past August she joined Mercy Ships as part of the HR team aboard the Africa Mercy for a 22 month commitment.
