Eatontown, NJ – Starting her role with the District Office on October 18th, 2021, Ms. Mary Huthwaite officially joins the Finance Office as its new Bookkeeper.

Holding a degree in Business Administration from Caldwell University, and a Certified Bookkeeper, Ms. Huthwaite comes to DENA after serving in the same role for 21 years at St. Catharine’s Church in Holmdel, NJ.

“When I became aware of the position, I was sure it would be a good fit as I have been drawn to the mission and service aspects of non-profits, after spending some time in the insurance industry,” says Ms. Huthwaite. “I’m happy to be joining the District Office and can’t wait to learn more about the Lasallian family I’m now a part of.”

While new to DENA, Mary is no stranger to Lasallian education, as her five nephews are graduates of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ.

“The education they have received has served them well, and I look forward to connecting with and being of service to the Brothers and Lasallians through my work in the Finance Office.”

Mary joins Brother Timothy Froehlich, FSC, Director of Finance, and Mr. Edward Meehan, Accountant, in the role vacated by long-time Bookkeeper, Mary Ellen Hauser, who, after more than twelve years of service to DENA, has joyfully transitioned to retirement. One of the original staff members to help set up the District Office during its inception in 2009, Mary Ellen looks forward to more time in her volunteer activities, enjoying the sands of the Jersey Shore, and surrounding herself with her family, especially her almost one-year-old granddaughter, Maxwell.

The District Office wishes Mary Ellen many blessings in her retirement, and prayers of gratitude for her faithful service to the Lasallian educational mission!
