The Martin De Porres family tragically lost one of its employees, Dowayne Henry, age 20. Dowayne was beloved by his friends and colleagues. May he forever rest in the peace of God’s love.
Dowayne first became associated with Martin De Porres when he was only 7-years old as a regular in the after school program. Through the years, the Martin De Porres family watched Dowayne grow into a caring, dedicated and responsible young man who had aspiring plans for his future that included college and pursuing his remarkable talent in basketball, his true life’s passion.
Dowayne returned to Martin De Porres this year when he was hired as a teacher’s aide in the physical education department at the High School where he was instantly embraced as a valuable coworker and revered mentor to the students. Dowayne will be remembered for his bright smile, shining sense of humor, and his devotion to a righteous path in life for himself and those around him.
The Martin De Porres family is devastated by the loss of Dowayne Henry. Lasallian prayers of comfort and solace go out to his family during this most difficult time.
