Today was the debut of “What’s My Line?” on CBS-TV. Did you know that there is a longstanding belief that the famous cellarmaster of the Christian Brothers winery in California (Brother Timothy) was once a contestant on this show? A preliminary search of the show’s digitized episodes by the Balto. Dist. Archives has not discovered proof for this, but there IS evidence for Bro. Timothy’s appearance on a similar TV series, “To Tell the Truth,” in 1972.
