Camden, NJ – Students from four of our Lasallian ministries traveled to The Romero Center in Camden NJ for a week of service immersion with the urban poor, July 25 – 30. Romero Center Ministries seek personal, communal, and societal transformation by living ministry as proclaimed in Christ’s Gospel through a service retreat experience for students. Throughout their retreat experience students from La Salle Academy Providence, Christian Brothers Academy Syracuse, St. John’s College High School, and St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute lived Gospel values of prayer, education, service, and community while gaining a deeper understanding of Catholic social teaching.
