Bronx, NY – Ed Phelan of our Bedford Park community has chosen to help people in Milwaukee with their rejected mail-in ballots. He is part of a zoom phone bank that meets online three times a week to call hundreds of residents of Milwaukee whose ballot has been returned. One hundred ballots a day are rejected in Milwaukee for missing a signature, a witness, or the address of the witness. Not surprising, most of these citizens are elderly people in their 70s and 80s who do not understand why there are so many new rules.
