New De La Salle Statue in Brazil
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the presence of the Christian Brothers in Brazil, a new statue of St. John Baptist de La Salle was dedicated in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Irish Head Visits Rome
On March 18, 1939, Eamon de Valera, head of the Irish Free State and who is traveling in Rome because of recent the installation of Pope Pius XII, visited the generalate (headquarters) of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
