Calvert Hall’s It’s Academic team finished in first place with a record of 9-1 in Catholic League competition, besting 9 other area Catholic school that compete throughout the year in 10 matches. The team is moderated by Mr. Richard Brown (Mathematics) and includes the following members Ben Bissett ’14, Calum Briggs ’14, Sam Cassell ’17, Chip Butler ’16, Andrew Dobson ’14, Michael Ehart ’16, Palmer Fabian ’17, Chris Miller ’17, Graham Schaffer ’16, Costa Swanson ’17, Phil Swanson ’14, Sam Swauger ’17 and Michael Trisch ’16. The team also competes on the Baltimore quiz show, It’s Academic, which airs on WJZ TV on Saturday mornings. The team is currently competing in the Baltimore Academic league which concludes on April 10. Calvert Hall is one of 8 Baltimore county schools competing in this league and is currently fighting for first place.
