A group of French Christian Brothers came to Saigon to take over a school (College d’Adran) which had been established several years earlier by French priests. Thus began over a century of educational excellence rendered by the Institute in what would become Vietnam, until the nationalization of all Lasallian schools there in 1975 under the Communist government. Nevertheless, the Brothers maintain a vital presence in Vietnam to this day.
