A graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, NY, Jeff Sidoti continued his Lasallian education at Manhattan College, currently a Junior, majoring in Social Studies in the School of Education.

“A well rounded student” is an expression that falls short to describe Jeff, as the list of activities and positions he holds at Manhattan are many: Co-President of the Italian Club, President of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity Chapter, a Resident Assistant in Jasper Hall, Student Supervisor of the Registrar Office, a member of the Manhattan Pen & Sword Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and delegate to the Lasallian Convocation on the Rights of the Child at the United Nations (pictured). Also part of the Christian Brothers College Contact Program, it seemed fitting that Jeff would be chosen to address the campus community, on behalf of the student body, during a Founder’s Week ceremony commemorating Nonagenarian and 50 year faculty member Bro. Francis Bowers, FSC. For full speech, click here.

The striking words from Social Action Coordinator Kevin McCloskey, however, say it best why Jeff is a deserving Lasallian Spotlight.
” Like De La Salle, Jeff is selfless in his service to others. He’s a leader, in that, he sees a “need” and works to get others to assist in solving the need. He’s modest and never seeks the spotlight, although he’s a shining star! He is a commited Catholic and knows God commits him to take step after step, decision after decision to benefit his college community and the great Riverdale neighborhood. You simply couldn’t find a better disciple of De La Salle! He’s extraordinary! “
