08/10/12 – Metairie, Louisiana A group of students from La Salle College High School in Philadelphia, PA, during their week long service immersion trip, visited the Archbishop Rummel campus to meet members of Operation HeadStart along with other guests. They were treated to some New Orleans jambalaya and red beans with rice.
Afterwards, Anita Gilford of Angels Place gave a presentation on the agency that provides respite care for children with life threatening diseases. This was followed by a discussion on service projects from both schools – a sort of “mini Service Summit.” The night ended with a prayer service from Br. Michael Livaudais, FSC.
