La Salle Institute’s Cadet Blues Jazz Ensemble recently won several awards at the New Hartford Jazz Festival, John Russell, Jazz Ensemble Director has announced. In addition to capturing the overall GOLD award, Cameron Bartow, Phil Brisson, and Emmanuel Davis were inducted into the Central New York All-Star Jazz Band, with additional awards for Gabe Father, Mike Splann and Ben Grant. Jake Deal was honored as the outstanding musician of the entire festival, which has over 400 participants.
