On Thursday, January 15, 2015, La Salle Institute participated in a benefit for the Sheehy-Palmer VFW Post 6776. The event, held at Crossgates Mall, included a private dinner and viewing to the movie “American Sniper”. “American Sniper” chronicles the life of U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who is the most decorated sniper in U.S. Military History. La Salle Institute’s Honor Guard was asked to escort Gold Star families from dinner held at Ruby Tuesday’s to Regal Cinemas for the private viewing. The money raised will help the Sheehy-Palmer VFW Post 6776 with a new roof.
