11/12/11 – Providence, RI – The La Salle Boys Soccer team captured the MetLife Division I State Boys Soccer Championship Saturday afternoon, November 12 at Rhode Island College. The Rams defeated Shea High School 3-2. Senior Rainer Randell was named the Most Valuable Player of the game in which several La Salle players stood out.
One Day later, the La Salle Girls Soccer team won their fourth consecutive MetLife Division I Girls Soccer State Championship Sunday at Rhode Island College. The Lady Rams defeated Smithfield High School 6-2 to finish off another undefeated season. For the seniors on the team, they finish their careers having never lost a game against Rhode Island competition.
