05/19/2012 – Philadelphia, PA – Member of the La Salle University Class of 2012 psychology major William T. Nason, having completed the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program on campus, received his commission in the United States Army on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at a ceremony conducted by Lt. Col. Maureen A. Gillen. Second lieutenant Nasons will be posted with the National Guard in West Virginia.
Lt. Nason was a member of the first cohort of the campus Signum Fidei Residential Learning Community. He poses here with Bro. Edward Hofmann, FSC, Campus Liaison for Student Veterans, Bro. Nason to exchange his “first salute” as a commissioned officer. Brother Joseph is a retired Infantryman of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
