Washington, DC – On September 24, 2020, the International Association of La Salle Universities (IALU) will host the Lasallian Dialogue on Racism: A Global Pandemic. This online event follows the June 25th discussion hosted by the Lasallian Association of Colleges and Universities, Responding to Racism: A Lasallian Dialogue.

In the upcoming dialogue, panelists will discuss the issue of racism and its characteristics in different parts of the world. The four panelists are: Kristi J. Kelly, Ed.D., chief diversity officer and director of Multicultural Student Services, Lewis University; Brother Armin Luistro, FSC, Visitor, Lasallian East Asia District; Dr. Jamil Khader, English professor and dean of research, Bethlehem University; and Brother Francisco Pérez, FSC, director of Liceo La Salle, Chiquimula, Guatemala. Brother Ernest Miller, FSC, D. Min., vice president of mission, diversity and inclusion, La Salle University, will moderate the discussion. Brother Ernest and Dr. Kelly participated in the June 25th discussion.

IALU represents 64 Lasallian higher education institutions worldwide, including the six Lasallian colleges and universities in the United States. The dialogue is being presented in partnership with the World Union of Lasallian Former Students (UMAEL), the Secretariat of Solidarity and Development, and Young Lasallians.
