Dear Lasallians,

Welcome to the first days of summer.

Quite the hazy, hot, humid weather this week.

We at the District Office certainly hope that, during this summer, you will enjoy some time off, taking moments to kick back and relax.

If you happen to be around your respective ministry, please congratulate a Brother Jubilarian, Affiliated member, or any one of our long standing educators, who are featured at various links in this issue of Living Lasallian.

We celebrate these Lasallians in particular, but we rejoice in all the successes throughout DENA all year long. What a blessed year it has been in teaching minds and touching hearts.

Let us keep one another in our prayers, as we give thanks for all your hard work throughout this academic year, and as we hope for a safe, rejuvenating summer, which you rightly deserve.

Prayers & Blessings,

Dennis Lee, FSC
Auxiliary Visitor

New Student Prayers Section

You spoke, we listened: introducing the revamped, student prayers section on the District website! Each month, we highlight a DENA ministry with students providing weekly and daily prayers for use throughout the school day. Some feedback we received was that the prayers were not easily printable to refer to throughout the week. Now, on this web page, you can easily print out the Student Prayers to use in the classroom. They can easily be reached by clicking on the Monday-Friday Prayers button on DENA’s homepage.

In correspondence with Lasallian tradition, the mission of Hudson Catholic Regional High School, a Lasallian college preparatory school serving a diverse community, is to educate the young men and women entrusted to its care through a comprehensive and demanding curriculum, complemented by an integrated program of extracurricular activities emphasizing spiritual, social, and physical values, designed to encourage individual development and responsibility to the community.

The foundation of Hudson Catholic began in 1958. Archbishop Thomas Boland announced a campaign that would implement additional high schools throughout the four counties of the Archdiocese of Newark.
