La Salle College Honors Bishop McCloskey
On May 24, 1937, La Salle College (Philadelphia) hosted the pastors of Philadelphia churches for a dinner honoring Bishop James McCloskey, the bishop Jaro (Philippines). 63 priests attended, including six monsignors. Fifty years earlier, Bishop McCloskey had received his commercial diploma from La Salle College (1887), so he spoke highly of his days at La Salle.
