Rockaway Park, NY – Closing out its third full year in Rockaway Park, Martin De Porres High School handed out diplomas to 24 graduating seniors last month in a ceremony attended by scores of supportive friends and family members.
Of the 24 graduating students, nine earned a Regents or Advanced Regents diploma. Eight of the graduates earned vocational certifications – some in culinary preparation and others in barbering apprenticeship.
Some of the graduates will go on to specialized vocational training or structured work programs where they will further their employment and life skills, while others will be attending community college or university.
