012215 SRHS at MSGThe St. Raymond High School for Boys seniors Christian Minaya, Samuel Montes and Roberto Rivera just completed the MSG Classroom, an innovative eight-week after school program sponsored by The Madison Square Garden Company in partnership with the Garden of Dreams Foundation and the Children’s Aid Society. The award winning program is for New York City area high school students.

Christian, Samuel and Roberto learned what skills are needed for careers in television. Over the eight-week program they and seven other high school students worked with various departments from MSG Networks. MSG volunteers from the production, promotions, marketing, sales and public relations departments provided practical experience on what is involved in producing a television program. Focusing on the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers, the program concluded with the students applying the skills they learned to a sports news program called, “Slap Shot”. At the conclusion of the program a presentation was made to MSG Networks’ executives and their friends and families.
