New York, NY – The Newman Club at New York University recently welcomed the Lasallian community that resides nearby in the East Village. The chapel at the Catholic Center at NYU is a regular venue for Mass for members of the community and Father John Baptist, OP, the Chaplain, was gracious in providing members of the community with an opportunity to meet with the members of the Newman Club. After Mass the community joined the students for supper and then led a mini-catechesis on the role of the Brother in the church and engaged in conversation with those present. Brothers Anwar, Linus, Thomas, William and Lasallian Volunteer Dontae all participated in the presentation. One individual who was present is an alumnus of La Salle High School in Pasadena, CA and was appreciative of the connection with his past!
