The first issue of Life magazine was published. A 1959 issue of Life published a Joe Munroe photo showing about 25 students of St. Mary’s College (Moraga, CA) stuffing themselves into a telephone booth–with two fully-robed Christian Brothers standing in the background. Yet another unique Life photo (by Carl Iwasaki) showed skateboarding Brothers Simon and Ambrose (middle-aged and fully robed; no surnames given) in a different issue at another time.
