Pope Francis beatified (declared “Blessed”) Pope Paul VI who guided the Church from 1963 until 1978. Before he became Pope with the name of Paul VI, Archbishop Giovanni Montini became an Affiliated (Honorary) Member of the Christian Brothers in 1954 because of his connections with the Christian Brothers. He is expected to be declared a saint in October 2018.
