central-wind-turbines5/27/12 – Pittsburgh, PA —Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School raised more than $35,000 for the construction of sustainable energy-generating wind turbines on the Blackfeet reservation in Browning, Montana. The funds were raised as part of Central Catholic High School’s annual Lenten Mission Drive and was presented on Friday, May 11th at the school’s Founder’s Day celebration. Receiving the check on behalf of the De La Salle Blackfeet School was Brother Paul Ackerman, FSC. The presentation was part of Central Catholic’s annual Mass of St. John de La Salle.

UPDATE – 10/2/12 – The new wind turbines that Central Catholic provided as a result of their Lenten Mission Drive are now being put in place on the De La Salle Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, Montana. Click here for photos on the De La Salle Blackfeet website. >
