041315 Fales_Headshot_WebCBA is pleased to announce that R. Ross Fales will become Principal on July 1, following the retirement of the school’s current Principal, Peter Santanello. Mr. Fales was selected following a nationwide search process, and brings extensive experience as a teacher, coach, and educational administrator to his new role.

Mr. Fales has been a member of the CBA faculty since 2002. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Rutgers University (1996) and master’s degree in educational leadership, management, and policy from Seton Hall University (2006). Since 2007 he has served as CBA’s Associate Principal for Student Affairs, overseeing the school’s student life, including the areas of discipline, extracurricular activities, transportation, and campus security. Mr. Fales is also a member of the Brothers of the Christian Schools Mission Executive Council as well as CBA’s Buildings and Grounds and Strategic Planning committees. He previously served as Dean of Students, science teacher, assistant varsity swim team coach, and freshman lacrosse coach at CBA. His prior teaching experience includes positions at Long Branch High School and Mount St. Mary’s Academy.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to lead this great institution to which I have committed my career,” said Mr. Fales. “I understand the awesome responsibility that lies in front of me, and I’m excited to guide CBA in the progress necessary to continue its traditions and excellence in the 21st century.
