2 DENA artists take top spots, 2 honorable mentions
5/15/12 – Washington, DC The Regional Brothers’ Vocation Office has announced the winners of the Lasallian Art Contest. 111 pieces of art, along with 3 international entries, were submitted for the contest, centered around the theme “Let us remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.”
The judges were anonymous Brothers, Lasallians, and artists from around the country. The winners were announced on De La Salle’s Feast Day, May 15.
Of the 54 submissions from students of District of Eastern North America Schools, Tochi Nwani of St. John’s College High School in Washington, DC and Michael Rose St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, NY, took 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Also receiving honorable mentions for their work were Grant Thurston from Calvert Hall in Baltimore, MD and Colleen Tang Poy from De La Salle College “Oaklands” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Congratulations to all!
